Vocational Rehabilitation Consulting (continued)

Expert Witness Testimony/Case Management

Injured workers, insurance carriers, and workers compensation or personal injury attorneys all have a need for accurate and thorough evaluation and management of cases involving vocational loss. Lost wages and calculation of earning capacity, retraining or placement in an alternate occupation, and comprehensive testimony as to specific vocational aspects of return to gainful employment are key components in successful rehabilitation.

Detailed evaluation of work history, including specific coding by the Dictionary of Occupa-

tional Titles, strength ratings, svp levels, and aptitude/temperament ratings is a necessary part of vocational testimony. This information, combined with knowledge of worker traits, cognitive levels, vocational scores, and labor market information will lead to comprehensive preparation for settlement mediation.

Case Management services involves identifying and monitoring referrals to specialists to obtain needed evaluations in the personal injury or workers compensation arenas. Once evaluations are completed, a complete summary and overview can be prepared, highlighting results in light of vocational implications, and presented during the negotiation or settlement process.
